Thoughts by Jesse
Hello pet people, thanks for visiting our blog....it's Jesse James here....the handsome tabby brother, you remember. Thomas seems to do quite abit of blogging so I figured I'd take another turn at it but while pondering which subject I should pick something Thomas did kept jumping into my mind.....He is such a little doofus sometimes. Everyone knows cats like bags and boxes or just about anything that can be climbed into...we two brothers are no different....what is different is that Thomas seems to have this weird habit of getting his little head stuck in the handles of plastic bags causing him immediate distress followed by sheer panic and new head gear. Why he feels he needs to stick his head through the handle I'll never know...what I do know is the aftermath is HILARIOUS!!! You see, I don't miss a move he makes....once I hear that bag crinkle I'm on it like a cat on catnip! Mom has on many occasions had to remove the stressed out little Baby Thomas from his plastic nightmare but what he did yesterday took the cake! Something called Christmas is coming so Mom and Dad were outside decorating the house....I don't know much about this whole Christmas thing other than they bring a huge lovely freshly cut tree into the living room then yell at us when we get near it.....I'm assuming it's based on some sort of yelling game with lot's of delicate dangley things added to the mix to make it more interesting. Anyway.....while they were decorating Mom went to the storage space under the stairs which we've only been in once and she had alot of trouble getting us out of there I might add and she brought out a HUGE plastic bag with a wreath for the front door....She pulled it out of the bag as we hovered at her feet curious as to what it was and where it was going...being the silly Mom she is she dropped the bag in the foyer and headed out the front door leaving us alone with the huge crinkle bag......I don't need to spell out what happened next do I.....just picture a bag big enough for a dozen Thomas's to fit in being worn by the terrified little doofus who started racing around the house completely clueless as to how to remove this so called new toy! Using what little brain power he has he figured out that jumping up in the front window and looking for Mom or Dad to rescue him would be a good idea....see Mom and Dad laugh......laugh Mom and Dad laugh.....Mom did rush into the house and up the stairs to rescue her little Thomas from further embarressment or injury...Did we really come from the same litter....sometimes I wonder....Anyway as usual I'm perfect and Thomas is still working at it......meow for now.....Jesse James

Best room in the house!
Thomas and Jesse James here again for another installment of our lives with Mr. and Mrs. Dolittle! So, Jesse and I were curled up on Mom and Dad's bed the other day with the sun shining through the window onto us....ahhhh...love that feeling....the heat lulls us into a kitty coma for sure.....
We got to talking, as cat's do, about whether or not the bedroom was our favorite room in the house....At this moment in time being a sun worshipper I'd say a big MEOW to that but Jesse said a word that made me stop in my tracks....it's a word Mom and Dad can say to us which will jolt us from a dead sleep to wide awake and running down the stairs in 1.2 seconds....that word....that glorious word........"garage". When we hear the sweet sound of that word it means Mom or Dad will now be opening the door to that room so Jesse and I can roam, roll on the floor, get in Mom's car, or on top, sniff the recycling, sit in Mom's trunk (she leaves it open alot), climb along Dad's work benches, sniff the car tires, lick rain off the hood, I can go on and on....it's simply one of the best things about this house. It's ever changing in that room. The smells and the bought goods which are stored there.....we love it! I do have to make a confession though....we have to pass through the laundry room on the way to the garage and as terrible as it sounds I have this "thing" about piddling in the laundry tub.....there, I've said it....I pee in drains....it's my thing....so shoot me! When we were adopted out Mom and Dad were told that I liked to jump into the bath tub and well, you know......squirt......which I don't do anymore but when it comes to the laundry room....hello.....can't help myself......I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders now....blogging is helping me work through my kitty issues.....Please don't judge me, I'm still a very sweet little Momma's boy. Jesse may have other things to say about that! I guess I'll let Jesse do the next blog....goodness knows what he'll have to say....until next time......

Deep thoughts from kitties....
Hello cat lovers! Baby Thomas here. Once in awhile my little mind wanders and thoughts go through my head that make me go.....hmmmmmm..... I've heard my Mom say 1000 times that she's never met two kitties with the same personality.....really......never......so it got me to thinking. Jesse James and I are litter mates and she's right, we have completely different personalities. The funny thing is I'm shy with new people and sudden noises. I'll never get used to sneezes even from my people. Jesse, as I said before loves newbies coming into the house and now that I think about he not all that keen on noises either.....what cat is.....
As brave as Jesse is with strangers when we go camping in the trailer he becomes super duper cautious kitty to the 10th degree. He's all about slowing down, taking your time to do things and dragging himself around the campsite on his belly if he can even get himself off the trailer steps. Me on the other hand.....when that freakin' trailer door opens my feet don't touch the stairs, I'm airborne and down the trail (on my leash) as fast as I can.
Yippee!!!Yahoo!!! I'm outside and I'm hiking!!! I stalk birds, bugs and link flying in the air. Dad sometimes has to jog along side me like a dog trainer at the Westminster Dog Show....my tail straight up and proud....I know my time outside is limited and I must cover as much ground as possible in that time. I want you to picture Jesse now still sitting on the bottom step of the trailer with Mom trying to decide if it's safe to take another step! What a wuss! Times a wasting my friend....seize the moment! I'm now on a trail next to our campsite far away from Jesse. Mom usually carries Jesse at this point to our private little beach. He loves to spread himself out on the big rocks and enjoys the heat on his belly....me on the other hand am covering as much beach as possible and climbing every log I can find. Mom and Jesse sit together and look out at the lake, I'm trying to find a bird to kill....never had the thrill yet but one day maybe.....(Mom will be very upset!). I sit at the foot of majestic cedar trees and I'm amazed that Mother Nature went to all that trouble to grow the biggest scratching posts I've ever seen.....You can usually find me about 5 feet up the bark spread out and happy as a lark!!! Oh I live for my little hikes. So I guess the point I'm making is at home I'm the cautious one not willing to trust everyone and everything and when we're away from home Jesse takes on that roll.....hmmmmmmmmmm......we kitties are a complex bunch!!! Don't you just love that about us!!!!
Thanks for spending some time with my thoughts today....

More stuff from our cats point of view...
Baby Thomas here, reporting from Mrs. Dolittle's house! I find this "blog" idea great for kitties like me who are unsure of strangers....this way, I can communicate with you with out the fear of actual contact with someone new. Now don't get me wrong....there are some visitors to the house who intrigue me and warrent a sniff but more often that not I spin on my little pad and head to the bedroom to frown until you go home! I'm unlike Jesse James in that department.....He has this habit of needing to sniff the hair of any new people to our home...even I find that weird....The really crazy thing is, people don't seem to have a problem bowing their heads when my Mom or Dad ask them to. It's like Jesse is collecting DNA for some obscure kitty experiment sometime in the future! I've seen him strut right across the couch via people's laps during parties! I would NEVER do that! Anyway, what I really wanted to talk about was the new dollar store wicker cat bed Mom bought us recently. As far as new beds go us kitties will either love it or hate it....rule of thumb is.....the more you spend on it the less we'll like it. So Mom did good going to the dollar store because Jes and I now sleep together in the new bed with our arms around one another. The only annoying part of that is Mom has to take photos of us every time we do it. It's like she's never seen us snuggle before! Enough already!!! I hate that flash from the camera followed by her saying..."ahhhhhhhh....you guys are SO cute"! Anyway, the new bed is great and gives us more options for nap spots even though the entire house is ours to nap in. Anyway the sun is shining through the window right now so I'd better sign off and jump into the new bed for a power nap before Dad gets home. Bye for meow......
